Evaluated for leadership potential, community service participation, financial need and academic excellence, these scholarships are given to no less than 10 high school seniors each year. Receiving ten thousand dollars per year for 4 years, these scholarships are extremely prestigious awards and very competitive. There are a number of scholarships awarded annually by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored Peoople (NAACP) Scholarships.
